My little brother...
I got this idea a few weeks ago, and I wanted to do it...but I obviously couldn't use myself as a model. It's just too difficult.
Anyways, the title "The Price of Freedom" means that yes, we have freedom, but there's a price we must pay for it. [duh.] The flag used as a blindfold, symbolizes that price. That we are blinded by our government, and the pressure to be "American" whatever that may mean these days.
I'm very, VERY proud of these photographs.
Please don't steal them, or use them without crediting me.

Yes, American means a great deal of many different things but for many American means you cannot complain, you cannot get angry about the status quo, and you cannot complain if your rights are lost in the price to keep the world free.
Of course these are lies but many people fail to truly understand what freedom is. It means we can judge our government, leaders, and anything we do not like. It also means we cannot enforce our own beliefs on other.
I like this piece best because of the fine focus on the mask and his nose and freckles. It seems very intimate as if the subject could actually be the viewer rather than the subject. I love this series because it really feels like you had a gut feeling about a project and you did it.
